This season in the fashion world, metallics are THE thing.  And what do metallics imitate?  Metal.  Tough, strong, powerful.  The shimmer and reflective quality offer a perceived sense of richness.  In fashion, this richness is made possible by a host of materials.

What would happen if this trend and these materials were transitioned from fashion to architecture?  Compared to traditional metal, fabric cuts down on weight and allows for flexibility and shape and design.   So, when designing, look at how fashion is utilizing imitation.  Then, take it to the next level.

Growing up between a sewing machine and a sketch pad, she went on to fine-tune her skills through studies in fine arts and fashion design.
