Style and comfort have collided in this shoe designed for Céline’s spring 2013 collection.  With bold colors, these tactile shoes grabbed unexpected attention.  It’s not often you see bright, furry stilettos.  When combining fur with a shoe that typically makes us cringe on the comfort level, there’s an immediate sense of visual comfort.  Whether this translates to actual comfort, I don’t know.  But, the individual little fibers can tickle our skin while keeping us warm, just like a slipper in the winter.

Incorporating fur in unexpected ways has the ability to pull on our emotional ties to the comforts of childhood and the sense of warmth.  Whether or not you find these shoes pretty, they are proof that incorporating fur into a design can have intriguing effects.
