Marchesa Spring 2013

Beginning this spring, fringe made a comeback in the fashion world.   Not since the 1920’s have we seen so much of this fun flowing detail.  Now, it is prevalent on the runways of Marchesa, Oscar de la Renta and Bottega Veneta, to name a few.  This time around there is a modern elegance; one that showcases sophistication and form.  This form is created with layering techniques and the incorporation of a range of materials.

Fringe has the uncanny ability to spark our interest through movement.  Imagine taking this concept and incorporating it into an environment.  Thick layers of string add a visual interest while tactically feeling like a breeze flowing through our fingers.  String plays with our senses and creates a memorable experience.
